Our Why

We love time in nature with our family more than anything else. Danielson Land Co. is our way to build long term wealth and model entrapreneurship for our kids.

Background

The Sisters grew up doing land. Raised by a Dad called Red Dog, they spent weekends clearing fallen trees, hunting, butchering deer, walking the perimeter, digging outhouses and building solar showers. They endured campfire chats about the land’s valuable silica sand, where each easement was located, and how to read a deed. He repeatedly reminded the girls about who was allowed to buy their property when he was dead and gone.

They watched as Red Dog selectively cleared timber on the 80-acres at times when a life event –like a wedding, surgery, or college fees–triggered a financial hardship. Red Dog died much too soon, but the land continued to provide for the family and his lessons lived on in his daughters when they grew up to be rural land investors. They started Danielson Land Co. with $20,000 from the sale of the family land.
